Snap & Edit: Mobile Photography Essentials

This course is for anyone who would like to know more on using a Smartphone’s Camera and Editing Photos on a smartphones.

Requirements, Students need to have a basic understanding of their smartphone, they need to have passwords for any downloading of apps.

Topics Covered:

Fundamentals of Digitally Editing Photographs on a mobile phone (digital camera vs. mobile phone)
Calibration of touchscreen
Using the “Native” editing functions on a smartphone (Android and iPhone Basic functions and novelties).
Available Apps for mobile photo editing (Snapseed, Afterlight, VSCO etc. Selection and acquisition of most suitable Apps
Basic ‘handling’ of Photographs (Cropping, Straighten horizon, clean up)
Adjusting White Balance
Exposure and Contrast
Colour Vibrancy and Saturation
Sharpness
