Over the past five weeks, something truly special has been happening in our community. A group of dedicated learners have been on a remarkable journey of growth and empowerment, and their achievements show just how transformative digital education can be when it’s done right — with confidence, independence, and a real sense of connection at its heart.

This was never just about mastering phones and apps. It was about building a supportive community where people could learn together, cheer each other on, and celebrate every step forward — no matter how big or small.

Learners progressed at their own pace, developing skills ranging from making calls and sending messages to managing notifications and video calling. Peer support played a huge role throughout, with participants encouraging one another and celebrating breakthroughs together. Highlights included everything from successfully sending a first message to reading a reply, with big smiles all round.

Alongside smartphone and tablet training, participants also took part in the Creative Digital Computers course, with learners building solid foundations across a range of digital skills that will open many doors ahead.

What made this journey truly special was simple — learning together, supporting one another, and celebrating every small victory along the way.

The programme wrapped up with a certificate presentation, full of well-earned pride and a real sense of achievement. It’s a wonderful example of what community learning looks like at its best, where everyone is welcome, everyone progresses, and everyone feels supported.
